Scott Johnson, The Senior Manager for Support Our Troops, flew to Toronto today to present the GTAA with a Plaque to show the Canadian Forces appreciation for the GTAA hosting Support Our Troops art easels throughout the Pearson International Airport.

Support Our Troops is the official charity of the Canadian Armed Forces that provides much needed support programs for Canadian Forces members and their families.

The program is managed by Funding Innovation. The art easels feature Canadian made, sports,music, and traditional art prints that air travellers bid on as they wait to board their flights or upon arrival. The prints are changed every two weeks. The winning bidders are notified, and the prints are shipped to the successful bidders anywhere in Canada for a flat $25 courier fee.

The “Airways of Heroes” is supported by 22 airports across Canada and has raised over $400,000 for Support Our Troops programs.

The GTAA joined the program in November 2022. As Canada’s largest airport, Pearson International is well on the way to becoming one of if not the largest contributor to the Airways of Heroes.
