The iconic prism image was originally created by the band’s graphic designer, Storm Thorgerson after listening and interpreting the album noting what he told Rolling Stone was “…very much about the madness of the lyrics…”. The band asked him to stay away from any humorous designs so Thorgerson drew inspiration from their live performance light show for the design. He went on to tell Rolling Stone “I think the triangle, which is a symbol of thought and ambition, was very much a subject of Roger’s lyrics. So the triangle was a very a useful – as we know, obviously – was a very useful icon to deploy and making it into the prism – you know, the prism belonged to the Floyd.”
About the artist: Fishwick attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh & the Watts Atelier of the Arts in California. In 2004 he began combining his passion for music and art creating high-energy pieces sometimes recording his creation process with live music and dancing.
