Description
A limited edition reproduction giclée print depicting an image of a red canoe stuck at a beaver dam. Original painting was complete by MacDonald in 1919. Double matted with a white top mat and brown trim, framed in a 2 1/4″ bronze moulding.
NUMBERED out of 1917 (additional series can be printed) & Hallmark Certificate of Excellence.
About the artist: James Edward Hervey MacDonald was born 12 May, 1873 near Durham, England. In 1887, at the age of 14, he immigrated with his family to Hamilton, ON where he began his first training as an artist at the Hamilton Art School and studied under John Ireland and Arthur Heming. He is a member of the Group of Seven.
