An open edition giclee reproduction print of an oil on Masonite painting depicting a street in Montreal, titled ‘Street Scene’. It was painted in 1953 by Samuel Borensteain. Triple matted with a white top mat, slate blue and black trim Framed in a duotone silver moulding.
About the Artist: A Lithuanian born artist, Borensteain immigrated to Canada in 1921. He was best known for painting cityscapes and rural scenes inspired by the Quebec landscapes including Montreal and the Laurentian villages. His artwork is characterized by exuberant brushstrokes and bold colours.
