Cecil H Ivey was raised near Wiarton, Ontario Using a time honoured tradition, Ivey’s work is in the spirit of the Woodland School of Art. A self-taught artist whose palette tends to be muted, with a trademark “white space” incorporated in every piece.
About the Print:
Migration is a wonderful example of antropomorphic art, depicting a bear and his friends on a canoe trip. The bear, paddle in paw, is joined by two cranes in the canoe while a sleek loon jets through the water beneath. the animals and canoe are bespeckled with colourful geometric shapes and dots. This heartwarming piece is resplendent against a calming blue/grey scale background. This is a numbered print out of 1997 total prints.
