Description

An open edition reproduction poster print featuring Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Johnny Cash. The impormptu jam session occurred on December 4, 1956, at the Sun Record Studios in Memphis, Tennessee. An article about the session was published in the Memphis Press-Scimitar under the title “Million Dollar Quartet” hinting towards what the combined salary of all the notable artists would be. The recording was first released in Europe in 1981 as The Million Dollar Quartet with 17 tracks. A short description of the event and a microphone are printed on the glass in the top and bottom right corners. Framed in a 2″ flat black moulding, under glass.
