Description
This print is a reproduction of an original painting created by Group of Seven founding artist A. Y. Jackson. Jackson was born in Montreal, lived in Chicago and Studied in Paris, France. He moved to Toronto in 1913 where he eventually met other members of the future Group of Seven. He lived and worked in Canada’s first purpose-built Studio Building in Toronto until 1955. He travelled across Canada throughout his career, sketching outdoors and painting Canadian landscapes. This print depicts the Chicoutimi countryside, a borough roughly 200 km from Quebec City. The print is double matted with cream and olive green with a rustic two tone 3″ wide profiled molding.
